Benetech GM550E Infrared Thermometer

The Benetech GM550E measures the surface temperature of objects without contact, making it a safe and quick choice for hot, hazardous or hard-to-reach targets. Its optics collect the infrared energy emitted by the object and focus it onto a sensor; the signal is amplified, processed and shown on the LCD in °C or °F.

The measuring range is -50 to 550 °C with 0.1 °C resolution and a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio (38 mm spot at 300 mm, 75 mm at 900 mm, 132 mm at 1500 mm). Emissivity is adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00 (0.95 preset), so readings can be matched to the surface being measured.

Beyond a simple reading, the instrument shows maximum, minimum, average and difference values, and sounds an audible alarm when a reading passes a high or low limit you set. The selected measuring mode is remembered at the next switch-on.
