The GTC LTX10 is a non-contact infrared thermometer with a Class II laser sight. It measures surface temperature from -30 to 538 °C (-22 to 1000 °F) with 10:1 optics, a response time under 500 ms, a backlit 3½-digit LCD, °C/°F selection, data hold and auto power off.
The LTX10 from General Technologies Corp. (GTC) is a handheld infrared thermometer that measures the temperature of an object by sensing the infrared energy it emits. No contact is required, so hot parts and objects can be measured safely from a convenient distance: simply point at the object and read its temperature, with the laser sight showing where the instrument is aimed.
The LTX10 covers -30 °C to 538 °C (-22 °F to 1000 °F) with a 10:1 distance-to-spot optics ratio and a minimum target of 1 inch. Readings appear in about half a second on a large backlit 3½-digit LCD with measuring units, laser and backlight indicators. Emissivity is fixed at 0.95.
The instrument is designed and manufactured in Canada and is intended for automotive, transportation and fleet work, industrial, manufacturing and construction use, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, agriculture and gardening, home and hobby use, and cooking and food safety. It is supplied with a 1 year parts and labor warranty.
