The Lutron TM-969 is a handheld infrared thermometer that measures surface temperature without contact from -60 to 1000 °C (-76 to 1832 °F). Two laser beams act as a target guide, and the distance factor D/S is approximately 50:1. The emissivity is adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00 in steps of 0.01, with a default value of 0.95.
In addition to infrared measurement, the instrument works as a type K thermocouple thermometer covering -64 to 1400 °C (-83.2 to 2552 °F). The resolution is 0.1 °C below 1,000 °C and 1 °C at 1,000 °C and above.
The large backlit LCD shows readings in °C or °F, and the meter offers Min., Max., Differential and Average functions, lock mode, last measurement memory and a Hi/Lo temperature audio alarm. It is powered by two AAA batteries.
