The Elmetron CPC-511 is an easy-to-use laboratory meter that measures pH, mV (redox potential), conductivity, salinity, TDS and temperature. Its large LCD shows the measured function and the temperature at the same time.

In the pH function the meter is calibrated in 1 to 3 points in buffer solutions, with automatic recognition of 4.00, 7.00 and 9.00 pH buffers (optionally 4.00, 7.00 and 10.00 pH), and it reports the condition of the pH electrode through the buffer and slope readouts. Depending on the electrode chosen, it measures in clean water, sewage, pastes and similar samples.

In the conductivity function it measures distilled water and other liquids up to 1000 mS/cm across 5 automatically switched sub-ranges, converts conductivity into salinity (NaCl up to 250 g/l or KCl up to 200 g/l) according to the real characteristic rather than a constant coefficient, and determines the estimated total dissolved solids (TDS). The temperature coefficient α is fixed at 2 %/°C; for precise temperature-compensated measurements Elmetron recommends its meters with a variable coefficient (CPC-502, CPC-505).
