The Benetech GT1355A is a handheld digital sound level meter designed for noise engineers, noise quality control and health protection work in factories, offices, road traffic, homes and other environments. It measures 30~130 dB(A) and 35~130 dB(C) with 0.1 dB resolution and an accuracy of ±1.5 dB (referenced to a 94 dB @ 1 kHz sound pressure standard), using a 1/2-inch polarization capacitance microphone.

The LCD shows the current reading, maximum and minimum values, date and time, and a line chart of noise changes. A three-color light alarm (green / yellow / red) signals when the user-set low and high limits (30~130 dB) are exceeded. Recordings of up to 43,000 readings can be made at intervals of 01~99 seconds, reviewed on the meter, or downloaded over USB to the SoundLab PC software for real-time sampling analysis, graphs and printing.

The meter runs on a rechargeable 3.7 V / 1000 mAh lithium battery charged through its USB Type-C port (1.5 h charging time, 8 h duration of service). It was designed according to IEC PUB 651 TYPE2 and ANSI S1.4 TYPE2, can be adjusted with a 94 dB @ 1 kHz sound calibrator through its calibration knob, and the manufacturer recommends recalibration every year.
