The Jilin Test TR-100 is an IP65 waterproof photometer that measures FCL, TCL, pH, alkalinity, cyanuric acid and bromine with reagent tablets, a white LED and a photoelectric receiver, giving digital results on a 2.4-inch display with self-check and calibration.
The Jilin Test TR-100 is a compact photometer that measures six key water quality parameters: free chlorine (FCL), total chlorine (TCL), pH, alkalinity (Alk), cyanuric acid (CyA) and bromine (Br). It combines a quasi-32-bit MCU, an imported high-bright white LED and a high-performance photoelectric receiver in an IP65 waterproof ABS housing, making it well suited to routine testing of swimming pool water.
Testing is straightforward: a syringe draws up the water sample and injects it into the measuring bottle, where the reagent tablet reacts with the substance being tested and colours the sample. The LED light passes through the bottle and the instrument measures how much light is absorbed, which depends on the colour of the liquid. This is more accurate than reading a colour by eye and effectively reduces human error.
On power-up the TR-100 runs a self-check, identifies faults and reports them as error codes E6 to E9 (zero-calibration reminder, external light entering the cell holder, optics failure, dirty vial or contaminated chamber). Results are shown on a 2.4-inch segment display with an English interface, and the instrument includes a calibration function. It runs on 2 x LR6 1.5V "AA" batteries and weighs 179 g without batteries.
