CEM DT-1307 Solar Power Meter

The CEM DT-1307 is a handheld digital meter for measuring the power of sunlight. It reads up to 1999 W/m² or 634 BTU/(ft²*h) with a resolution of 1 W/m² (1 BTU/(ft²*h)), and the user can select the measuring unit between W/m² and BTU/(ft²*h). Light is picked up by a separate photo detector supplied with the meter.

Readings are shown on a 3-1/2 digit LCD (maximum reading 1999) with unit and sign display for easy reading, and the sampling time of approx. 0.25 second gives a rapid response. The meter reads directly with no adjustments needed and offers manual scale selection, a Data Hold function to hold measurement values, maximum and minimum values, and low battery indication.

Accuracy is typically within ±10 W/m² [±3 BTU/(ft²*h)] or ±5%. The meter measures 162 × 63 × 28 mm (H × W × D), weighs 176 g and runs on a 9 V battery.
