The CEM DT-1317 handheld meter measures solar irradiance from 0 to 1400 W/m², temperature from -30 °C to 100 °C, panel inclination from -90° to 90° and direction with a 0-360° compass, on a high-contrast LCD readable in direct sunlight, helping install, commission and troubleshoot PV arrays.
The CEM DT-1317 is a handheld solar irradiance meter designed to simplify the installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of photovoltaic (PV) arrays. In a single tool it measures sunlight irradiance up to 1400 W/m², temperature, and the inclination and direction of the solar array.
Its rugged, compact body carries an easy-to-read, high-contrast LCD that stays legible in direct sunlight, showing irradiance and temperature together. Temperature can be taken with the internal sensor or with the external temperature probe, in °C or °F.
The built-in inclinometer covers -90° to 90° and can be zeroed manually, while the compass function (0° to 360°) confirms the orientation of the array.
